Frequently asked questions
Do you need the machine manual before a survey?
It is helpful but not always essential. Drawings, electrical information, previous risk assessments and operating procedures improve the quality and speed of the review.
Can the survey cover several machines?
Yes. We can structure a site-wide survey by line, area or risk priority and provide a phased improvement plan.
Is a guarding survey the same as a full PUWER assessment?
Not necessarily. The scope should state whether the output is a guarding-focused survey, a broader work-equipment assessment or a design input for a specific project.
